1.3 Edge of Destruction
Very mercifully, this episode was in two parts. I found this to be so boring, and exceedingly confusing. I really think they were having some serious low budget moments. Both the chapters take place on the TARDIS, so there are only two rooms in which they move back and forth.
In the beginning, they all injure themselves, and wake up feeling strangely. Then they turn on each other.
Eventually they realize that the TARDIS is trying to warn them to do something, before they are thrown all the way to the beginning of time, and the TARDIS is destroyed. Then the Doctor realizes that the problem is a stuck spring in the Fast Return switch. Once they fix the spring, the TARDIS goes forward into time.
WHAT.....THE........!!!!!!!
Okay, this still doesn't explain why Susan has this great scene in which she savagely stabs her bed with a knife.
The Doctor really comes off as some strange pervert when he starts running around peering into their faces to see if they are sleeping, just after slipping them a drug. E-yikes. Loved the band aid, by the by.
For some reason I found the acting kind of stilted, and I really didn't get the impression they were working together in the scenes.
It is interesting that we get that the TARDIS is an entity, and not just a box. It has life.
Ah well, I'm sure many people will come forward and slay me for writing such scandal.
